The company now focuses on the transportation of marble and various fragile goods.

Rieger Transport GmbH is family-run business based in Laas (Lasa), South Tyrol, Italy. It was established in 1961 and is now in its second generation under Hubert Rieger and his wife Annemarie.
The Rieger Transport team now comprises the two owners and eight experienced employees. These employees ensure smooth cooperation with customers, a large number of which are local companies that have chosen Rieger Transport for many years.
At Rieger Transport, we ensure prompt, secure transportation of goods, especially those of a fragile nature.
Over the last few years, the company has built up a large network with several partner haulage companies. We are therefore able to fulfil almost all requests for haulage within Europe.
Our services range include consolidated and direct transport as well as deliveries of single pallets of marble, industrial materials, dry goods and wine.
We provide haulage services within Europe: particularly to and from South Tyrol (Italy), North Italy, Austria and Switzerland.
We also provide local deliveries and can transport small loads via vans or lorries with a hydraulic lift.
Rieger Transport is based on the industrial estate in Laas (Lasa), South Tyrol, Italy. It has a large operations building / warehouse for intermediate storage of goods and a large commercial unit with parking and loading facilities.
A wide-ranging fleet of rigid lorries with trailers (with swap bodies) and various combinations of trailers guarantee a high level of flexibility.
Our fleet includes:
- Articulated lorries with open articulated flatbed trailers
- Tautliners with side curtains and roof curtains
- Covered articulated flatbed trailers
- Rigid lorries with swap bodies for rail transport and swap bodies without hard covers (either open or with tarpaulins)
- Vans (3.5 tonnes)
The company is established by Hans Rieger in Eyrs (Oris), near Laas (Lasa), South Tyrol

The company becomes an OHG (general partnership) and an operations building (today’s headquarters) on the industrial estate in Laas (Lasa) is purchased. Later another industrial unit is purchased for parking and loading.
Scania lorry with a load of concrete formwork. Between 1985 and the Financial Crisis of 2007 Rieger Transport used a large number of these vehicles.
International haulage increases: shift towards long-distance haulage operations to Germany and other EU countries

Company ownership transferred from Hans Rieger to Hubert Rieger

The shift from tippers to rigid lorries with swap bodies began in 2000. The swap bodies remained.
The company becomes a GmbH (private limited company)
Finally, after years of searching, the company purchases a commercial unit to expand its operations facilities. It begins to specialise in the import and export of partial loads to North & Central Italy, South & Southwest Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
